Today I am joined by Dr. Joe Romm, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Science, Sustainability, and the Media. He served as Acting Assistant Secretary of Energy for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, where he oversaw $1 billion in clean energy technologies. He has authored 10 books and a recent white paper on the dangers posed by carbon offsets cited in the NY Times, Bloomberg and other media outlets, “Are carbon offsets unscalable, unjust, and unfixable—and a threat to the Paris Climate Agreement?” He holds a PhD in physics from M.I.T.
