Today I am joined by Thomas McInerney, an international lawyer who combines his extensive and varied academic and policy implementation experiences to devise practical and systemic strategies that make multilateral treaties effective vehicles for change. Legal, regulatory and management concepts outlined in his book Strategic Treaty Management: Practice and Implications (Cambridge University Press 2015) and recent work incorporating technological advances for Intelligent Treaty Systems enable governments, international organisations (e.g. UN), NGOs and businesses to accelerate their sustainable development initiatives. Currently Executive Director of the Rule of Law Development Program at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and former Director of Research, Policy and Strategy for the International Development Law Organisation (IDLO), McInerney has a BA in philosophy and government, MA in philosophy, JD, and PhD in development studies, and is based in Bangkok.
