Interview with Paul Polizzotto, CEO of Givewith

Today I am joined by Paul Polizzotto, founder & CEO of Givewith, a social impact technology company that brings together companies and nonprofits to generate new funding for social impact initiatives, largely involving sustainability, and unprecedented value for businesses. Givewith helps some of the world’s biggest brands (i.e., Dell, Lexus, HP) enterprises and agencies achieve CSR and sustainability goals while simultaneously helping to drive sales, profits and share prices.

Paul brings his expertise as the former founder of EcoMedia, which was sold to CBS Corporation in 2010. Under Paul’s leadership, EcoMedia directed more than $100 million in funding and resources to environmental, education and community health and wellness programs across the country, improving the quality of life for more than 60 million people.

He began his entrepreneurial career pioneering Urban Watershed Cleaning and Zero Discharge — two technologies which scrub toxins from parking lots and industrial sites, thus preventing run-off from entering storm drain systems and polluting the waters into which they feed. He also founded Adopt-A-Waterway, a public-private partnership program that continues to channel corporate ad dollars into environmental awareness campaigns and technologies that mitigate storm drain and urban run-off pollution.

A frequent guest lecturer at business schools across the country, Paul is a Senior Fellow at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, where he was also an inaugural member of the Board of Advisors for the Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab.
