Challenges and Health Issues

Her grandfather had recently passed away, her engagement broke and ended a 5-year relationship, and she was facing a host of health problems. In addition, she was utterly dissatisfied with her professional life as well. She says, ” I felt overworked, underpaid, and stuck.” In short, her life was a tiny boat caught in a giant sea storm. On her last day at work, she got a call from the doctors stating that she has to come in immediately for surgery (she had cancer). Every doubting thought went through her head. She remembers thinking to herself, “I have no job, I just gave up my apartment, my insurance ends at 12 midnight.” She says, “As I stood in my apartment with boxes surrounding me, no internet because I turned that off, no TV, and a cell battery life of 10 percent or less, I just cried.”
