Scott Amyx quoted on Moneyish:
- Give out points or candy to those who are most gracious and professional. The one(s) with the least points or candy pays lunch
- If the meeting is non-confidential in nature, then open it up for accountability. In one case, broadcasting the meeting to an outside TV screen for others to view or record the meeting to later post unto a company shared drive
- Use props such as a crown to place on the speaker’s head to remind everyone that we have to treat him or her as royalty that deserves our respect and civility
- Appoint a facilitator who has a number of tools (think photo booth props) at disposal — a sign for times up, please be quiet, stay on target, etc.
- In some companies, they use personas extensively, including life size cardboard cutouts to remind them to laser focus on their customer. Include such a life-sized persona in the room to remind everyone that your customer is in the meeting with you
