Today I am joined by Eric Aguilar, CEO and Co-Founder of Omnitron Sensors and a Board Member at Ascent Robotics. He is a recognized leader in Silicon Valley in the field of innovative sensor systems, particularly in robotics and autonomous platforms.
Eric started his career by building drone sensors for the U.S. Navy research labs and defense contractors. He later joined Lumedyne, a startup that licensed Navy IP to build a revolutionary motion sensor, which was later acquired by Google. Post-acquisition, Eric led the Avionics team at Google[x] Wing, where he focused on autonomous flight for its commercial delivery drones. He then worked at Tesla leading firmware and sensor integration efforts for the Model 3, and Argo AI, where he led the sensor integration efforts for Argo’s fleet of robo-taxis. Eric then co-founded Omnitron Sensors in early 2019 to create innovative silicon process technologies for sensors. He also sits on the board of Ascent Robotics, an AI platform for robotics automation.
