Companies have always been focused on ensuring they are efficient in how their processes work. Even so, both large and small companies may have efficiency problems in some areas. When examining where a business can improve its efficiency, there are a few critical departments that tend to be the “usual suspects.”

Tunnel vision, in this case, can be detrimental to the company as a whole. With management so intent on one area, other departments with glaring inefficiencies may go overlooked. Most companies are aware that increasing process efficiency is an iterative process. Even the most overlooked areas will eventually come into focus.
