Today I am joined by Pat Kinsel, founder and CEO of Notarize, the first company making it possible to legally notarize documents online and on-demand. Notarize is a Series B startup that has raised more than $80M and is backed by numerous strategic investors including the National Association of Realtors.

Notarize completed the country’s first-ever online real estate closing [RON] in 2017 and has since helped tens of thousands of people to click to buy, sell, or finance their home online. Notarize also executed the country’s first-ever online will and has digitized how people finance their business, assign power of attorney, purchase and finance a vehicle, open a bank account, and complete countless other transactions online for the first time. Notarize has worked to pass numerous state laws, chaired MISMO’s Standards Committee for online real estate closings and PRIA’s committee on Interstate Recognition of Notarial Acts, has won both Apple and Google’s awards for Best New Apps in the country as well as the Lending Tree Innovation Award and the Digital Mortgage Conference.

Pat has won Housingwire’s Rising Star Award and MBA’s Technology All-Star Award. Pat is also a partner in the venture capital firm Polaris Partners and sits on the boards of both Lob and Drizly. He was previously the founder and CEO of Spindle, which he sold to Twitter, and a product manager at Microsoft.
