You may be just starting out building your personal brand. So how do you compete with famous names? Those that have New York Times best-selling books, they’re Forbes columnist, they’re on TV, they have 5 million followers on Instagram?

The answer is by being different. It’s not necessarily about being better but being different. What do you have to offer and how is your approach different? Again, not better but different.

That will then guide your strategy for PR, advertising, content and social media.

For me, I think and process unconventionally. I embrace divergent thinking. And that’s what makes me different.
